There are eight playable species in Achros: Cin Toth, Bel Toth, Gwolth, Mykoid, Trioran, Varkan, Fleshmech 8, and Relamada. Each species has different starting stats and unique skills.
Cin Toth are spread throughout the forests of Galutir, mostly sticking to the western regions. They have evolved pale skin under the dense canopy cover and long, skinny skinny bodies for traversing the dense undergrowth. While somewhat capable in close combat, they are extremely versatile when it comes to magic. They have a rich cultural history and a deep spiritual connection with the natural world that makes them naturally talented at Elemancy and Ambience.

Other than the first spell you cast each combat, whenever you cast a spell you haven't cast this combat, you gain advantage on your next dice roll. This skill does not stack.
Bel Toth make their home in the Toi’amr, a towering forest in southern Galutir that acts as an evolutionary playground as it is the center of all magical energy on Achros, and has an abundance of natural resources. The region is teeming with unusual lifeforms, and Bel Toth are one of them. Splitting from Cin Toth thousands of years ago, they evolved even lankier bodies for jumping between treetops, and green skin to blend in with the moss that blankets the trees of the Toi’amr. They have the unique trait of having an instinctual grasp on the manipulation of H2O. Their long limbs also make them fit for close combat. Their limbs are so long that they usually walk on all fours to support their slender frames.

You can unlock skills in the Water tree as if they had no prerequisites. (You must still follow the upgrade path of the skill tree)
Due to your long limbs, your melee range is increased by 5 feet. (10 feet instead of 5 feet.)
While unsuspecting, Gwolth are a particularly vile-natured kind. Thousands of years of being hunted by the Bel Toth for their pelts have imbued them with an ancestral hatred toward all living things. Because of this, they are adept at casting Ambient spells to harm others. Even with their tragic history, Gwolth society is quite sophisticated and most of them lead happy lives. They are small creatures that live in the Aspen forests of northern Galutir. They have small bodies that are covered in long hair that gives them a round appearance. The hair comes in a range of colors, mostly shades of black and brown. They have large wide eyes and long beaks. They can use their taloned limbs to roll themselves along the ground at surprising speeds.

Due to your delicate frame, building muscle is much harder. When leveling strength, you must spend a skill point in addition to an attribute point.
Can only be used when moving. During your current movement, you can move 5 more feet at the cost of 5 more stamina.
You have 9 attributes: Speed, Strength, Dexterity, Intellect, Wisdom, Adaptivity, Charisma, Cunning, and Performance. You'll track each one in the corresponding box on the left side of the “+” sign. Each Attribute affects different stats and has their own skill sets. A detailed description of each attribute can be found below, and skill sets can be found in the Skills section.
Each attribute starts at 0 and you have 9 Attribute Points to invest. Additionally, you can choose to subtract a total of up to 3 points from your attributes for a total of 12 points to invest in other ones. You cannot put more than 4 points into one attribute when creating your character.
Depending on what species you are, you’ll have different bonuses applied to your attributes.

Your health and stamina is determined by your Strength and Dexterity respectively. At level 1, every character has 30 health and stamina by default, but this can change based on your stats.
